China and France have agreed to RESTORE high-level diplomatic contacts after the French government promised Beijing that it will NO longer support Tibet's independence.
The two countries reconciled just several hours before French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Chinese President Hu Jintao were about to meet for a bilateral summit on the sidelines of the G-20 meeting in London.
Beijing had severed many high-level government talks and canceled a summit meeting with the European Union in protest to the French leader's one-on-one with the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama last year.
