요약정보
This is the suspect police were searching for after two separate shootings‚ one at an arts cafe and another at a synagogue‚ that killed two people and injured five police officers.
Not long after the shootings‚ police shot a man dead close to the two attack sites‚ as he fired on them.
Investigators seem to believe that he was the lone gunman‚ seen earlier in CCTV footage.
"We do not know if there is any connection between the two shootings‚ unfortunately. It would (be) likely to think so‚ but we have no indications (as to whether) there is any link (between them)."
The first incident occurred during a debate on "Art‚ Blasphemy and Freedom of Expression."
Lars Vilks‚ the featured guest‚ believes he was targeted.
Vilks is a controversial Swedish artist who has received death threats since 2007‚ when his depiction of the Prophet Mohammad as a dog was published.
This is what he said back then:
"This should be a small thing‚ really. To insult a religion. You cannot make exceptions for religion‚ I mean that's the point. This should be the same rules as we have for Christianity or the Jewish religion or whatsoever."
Denmark's Prime Minister told the media the whole country is on high alert‚ and said she feels certain that the shooting is a politically motivated terrorist attack.
(Danish)
"It's a battle against values that are based on freedom for the individual and a dark ideology."
The incident brings up memories of another not so long ago in Paris.
The French ambassador to Denmark‚ who attended Saturday's debate‚ believes the motivation for the cafe shooting was the same as that for the shooting at the French weekly Charlie Hebdo that left 17 dead.
"I'm not afraid. It's more like it's more crazy‚ more like the feeling of yeah it's happened in Denmark we've heard about it in Paris. If you can make those things together‚ but yeah‚ it's crazy."
