Hungary's center-right Fidesz party won a two-thirds majority in Sunday's runoff election round.
With 96 percent of the votes counted the Fidesz party is expected to win 263 seats out of 386 while the ruling socialists and far-right Jobbik party will likely win 59 and 47 seats‚ respectively.
The election results will grant Fidesz leader Viktor Orban power to amend the constitution and change electoral and media laws independently which analysts say reflects the country's wish for a parliament that has a stronger mandate to end political instability and speed economic recovery.
