Hello‚ and welcome to Prime Time Sports. I'm Steven Choi.
For many years now‚ South Korea has been at the pinnacle of archery‚ namely with the recurve bow.
At the Archery World Cup's second stage in Medellin‚ Colombia they showed us why.
During the ranking round‚ Joo Hyung-jung scored a round-best 6-hundred 79 points‚ followed by Lee Teuk-young with 678‚ and Jang Hye-jin with 675 to earn the 1-2-3 seeds.
Combined‚ their score was 2‚32 ‚ good for the new women's team world record.
Many had not expected the result‚ with Olympic champ Ki Bo-bae and last year's World Cup winner‚ Yoon Ok-hee sitting out of the event.
