Korea slides down while Japan moves upthe new FIFA rankings are out and Korea dropped from 31st to 35th‚ while Japan jumped 7 places to 23rd‚ 1-better than Australia‚ making them the top ranked Asian team.
And while we're still a day and a half away from Korea's first World Cup Qualifier in Qatar‚ Korea's Olympic team plays tonight in Hwaseong in a friendly against Syria.
It won't be the ideal team of players for Hong Myung-Bo who is missing the likes of Goo Ja-Chul and Nam Tae-Hee‚ who are with the national team in Qatar.
The game will serve more as an opportunity for others to make the team for the London Olympics which are now 50-days away.
Hong has yet to name his squad or his 3 overaged wild card players.
