Well we've been getting so much summer-like weather lately that the cherry blossoms have already bloomed.
And that means cherry blossom festival organizers have had to change their schedules around.
For more‚ let's turn things over to our Kim Bo-gyung at the weather center.
Well guys‚ flowers have begun to bloom about two weeks earlier than usual.
The last time flowers bloomed in March was in 1922.
The 2014 Yeuido cherry blossom festival will be held from April 3rd through 13th. The 2014 Seokchon Lake festival from April 4th‚ which is this Friday through the 6th.
Taking a look at the current conditions. The nation is under the influence of a high pressure system from the West sea. So we're seeing light clouds across.
If you are headed out to see the flowers‚ or for a late night trip‚ make sure to grab a cardigan as it may be chillier in the evening. Otherwise‚ daytime highs will continue to remain in the low-to-mid twenties through Wednesday‚ before showers fall on Thursday.
Looking ahead at Tuesday's numbers. Seoul‚ Daegu and Gwangju make it to 23 degrees. Busan hits 19.
As for other regions. Jeju tops out at 19 degrees. Dokdo and Mt. Kumgang peak in the mid-teens.
