(Mt.)Gariwangsan with the elevation of 1‚560m spreding out Bukpyeong-myeon‚ Jeongseon-gun and Jinbu-myeon‚ Daehwa-myeon‚ Mitan-myeon‚ Pyeongchang-gun of the Gangwon Province includes many valleys and ridges of mild slope‚ but shows the magnificent scenery with lavish forests. From the peak‚ the East Sea could be seen in the distance. While there are communities of Betula schmidtii and Betula costata in the shaded places. In the streams below the vallys‚ various fir species are ensely located in the sunny places. In the streams below the valleys‚ various fish species including Gonoprol loperus mylodon‚ Brachymystax lenok‚ Oncorhychus masou inhabit in abundance.
