A few days ago‚ we talked about a few senior actors who have been cast in leading roles‚ and today she has report that continues with that theme.

A few days ago I introduced the actor Lee Soon-jae and his participation in a recent stage production‚ but he's also been a very popular face these days because of his appearances on TV.
Right‚ he's part of the new TV drama series‚ "Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit."
Right‚ so that show has been extremely successful lately.
These elders in our community are showing that they are more than capable‚ if not more capable than some of their younger colleagues‚ when it comes to starring roles.
Let's take a look.

After a science experiment goes wrong‚ the lives of four detectives are forever changed‚ when three of them rapidly age into 70-year-old bodies.
The four buddies then try to find a way to change back‚ all while learning to cope with their unusual predicament.
The newly released comedy drama‚ "Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit‚" has been sweeping the ratings‚ keeping a steady first place within cable channel dramas.
It's based on the hit reality show "Grandpas Over Flowers‚" and this new spinoff drama once again puts the spotlight on the actors who come with not just a few years‚ but a few decades of experience under their belt.

It's evident that seniors are no longer only in the background.
And now everyone can see just why they should be in the center of attention.
They show that age not only brings wisdom‚ but a new sense of adventure.
In Gangnam‚ within the last two years‚ community programs increased two-fold‚ offering a greater range of arts and culture options‚ as well as hobby classes‚ all for the elderly citizens.

There are approximately 7 million active seniors in the country‚ a number that's sure to grow‚ as more and more baby boomers enter their 60s.
And as expected of their generation‚ they'll be sure to stay active and participate in various activities.

"Gloomy people are becoming brighter‚ shy people are becoming more extroverted‚ anyhow‚ they're taking control of their lives and waking up to the real world."
Age is just a number‚.. as these grandpas and grandmas prove‚.. entering and creating the second half of their lives.

I've heard the term "active senior" before. Tell us more about that.
Right so an "active senior" is a term being used to refer to those in their 50s and 60s
who are‚ as the phrase implies‚ staying active.
This is either via work or simply just staying active within society.
There's been a huge growth in sales among the age group‚ meaning more and more seniors are going shopping‚ especially online.
In response‚ many companies have customized products geared towards the older age bracket.
That's also true for arts and culture.
I have rather noticed that there seem to be more and more plays and shows nowadays that have older cast members.
There have been a growing number of plays‚ TV shows‚ and movies‚ that feature older actors‚ and are geared towards the older audience‚ as seniors are more willing nowadays to spend money on movie tickets and shows.
However‚ it seems that grandpas and grandmas have become the trend
