It's amazing that such an ageless concept as a library can become such a "cultural oasis" in the digital age.
Something that I find quite amazing as well.
Now‚ this library is calling itself an "E-brary" -- which is actually a combination of the words "emotion" and "library‚" not "electronic" as you might imagine.
It's a wonderful amalgamation of the digital with the analogue.
Well‚ it certainly does seem to be receiving a great deal of praise from both local residents and visitors‚ which is great to see.
But today you have some other news about a cultural healing experience?
That's right‚ now with the extended Lunar New Year's holiday over‚ how about some healing with the soothing sounds of classical music? Let's take a look.
The mysterious yet soothing melodies flow through the strings of a harp.
The harpist is Lavinia Meijer‚ was born in Korea and adopted to the Netherlands at a young age and is now one of the top harpists in the world.
Her recently released solo album‚ "Passagio‚" stands as a symbol of the incredible depth and quality of music that the harp is capable of.
And now‚ she is preparing for her fourth concert in Korea with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center on February 14th.
Music that tugs and pulls at the emotions -- like only the melodies of a piano can produce.
Pianist and composer Lee Roh-ma will perform works from his latest album "Blind Film" at a concert in Seoul‚ under the concept of "music from a movie that cannot be seen."
The artist is planning to perform with a larger variety of instruments for his special three-night engagement from February 7th to 9th at the Sejong Center for Performing Arts in central Seoul.
Both concerts seem like a wonderful way to start the new year.
Indeed‚ and Meijer's concert seems very interesting because‚ although there are many orchestras that perform in Korea‚ rarely do we see a concert focused solely around the harp.
That's right. It also seems that pianist Lee Roh-ma has an interesting concept for his concert as well.
I agree. The title of his latest album‚ "Blind Film‚" struck me‚ and listening to some of his works‚ it truly does seem like his performances and the music are sending a message to his listeners.
Alright. Well‚ thank you‚ Tae Ho‚ for telling us about these two great upcoming concerts‚ and we'll see you again tomorrow.
You're welcome. Have a wonderful afternoon. Reporter : tleef0415@gmail.com
