School's out for the summer!
Students are now off campus as summer vacation started this week.
Here at Gwanghwamun Square in downtown Seoul‚ kids are getting soaked from head to toe‚ free from classes and the stress of school.
[Interview : Kim Ji-won‚ Elementary school student] "I'm happy to be here with my friends and my mom. I love the fresh water and it's fun to play in."
Parents can also relax as they watch their children play because even the water isn't a concern.

song@arirang.co.kr] "The city of Seoul changes the water at the fountain three times a week and applies the same maintenance regulations of that of public swimming pool to ensure safe and clean water for the children to play in."
If you can't get away for a vacation like these elementary students‚ don't fret because you can still escape to Cheonggye Stream‚ which stretches along high-rise buildings in the heart of the capital.
[Interview : Song Dong-hoon‚ Office worker] "I work near here‚ and I often come by during lunch. It's especially cool here because the water flows down the stream."
And if you are lucky enough to spare some time for a hike‚ do not hesitate to climb up Seoul's iconic Namsan‚ where one of the city's biggest fountains welcomes those who made it up the mountain.
[Interview : Nadeem Akhter‚ Pakistani visitor] "It's a very beautiful scene here in Seoul. I wanted to come see this‚ because I've never seen it before. It's amazing‚ you can see the tower‚ the flower and trees -- and looking at them is nice."
Namsan Park as well as other city parks such as Seoul Grand Park will be open until 8 p.m. throughout the summer to give Seoulites a brief respite from this sweltering heat.
