Culture Minister Yoo Jin-ryong presented his ministry's five-year plan to President Park Geun-hye on Thursday morning.
The ministry says it will work to provide customized cultural welfare services to people of all ages.

With these measures and more‚.. the ministry aims to strengthen Korea's cultural industry over the next five years‚.. as it looks to boost exports and job creation by 2017.
However‚.. the ministry says it will need help from the entire government to achieve its goals.
"The goal of 'cultural flourishment' can only be achieved‚ when cultural values are spread across society‚and all government departments pledge to join efforts to expand cultural values‚.. during their reporting to the President."
The ministry also plans to double the number of the Korean Cultural Centers that are dotted around the world from the current 24 to 48 over the next five years.
The culture ministry will also increase the number of King Sejong Institutes‚.. officially certified Korean language institutes abroad‚.. from 90 to 200 by 2017.
