Korea's new inter-city express train‚ or ITX‚ connecting Seoul and the nation's northeast region of Chuncheon has delayed its opening to February.
According to the Korea Railway on Tuesday‚ the high-speed train was originally supposed to begin operations by the end of this year‚ but defective parts led to the delay.

The ITX runs at an average speed of 180 kilometers per hour‚ and is the second-fastest train in Korea after the nation's bullet train‚ the KTX.
