The price of liquefied petroleum gas or LPG has plunged this month.
The Korea LPG Association said Wednesday that contract prices of propane gas have dropped by 90 US dollars per metric ton to 855 dollars while that of butane gas declined from 995 dollars last month to 925 dollars in June.
The decline was attributed to a downtrend in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price‚ an international benchmark that is followed in Korea.
Industry insiders say that weakening seasonal demand and stable crude oil prices also drove the price of LPG lower.
