Named with a union of the words‚ "velocity" and "roadster"‚ this unique mixture of hatchback and sports coupe is equipped with 1-hundred-40 horsepower‚ a four cylinder-engine‚ front wheel drive and a choice of six-speed manual or double-clutch automatic‚ Hyundai's first eco-shift dual clutch transmission.

Veloster‚ which Hyundai claims is a Premium Unique Vehicle‚ or PUV‚ was first revealed at the 2010 North American International Auto Show‚ and company officials say it has earned wide acclaim for its ground-breaking designs.

Hyundai has announced it will limit its new product sales to 1‚800 units only‚ to add a special value targeting first-time buyers in their 20s who are fond of scarcity and uniqueness.

Prices will range from 19 million won‚ or about 17-thousand US dollars‚ to 21 million won‚ or about 18‚700 dollars depending on options.
