Former finance minister Kang Man-soo has been recommended to become the new head of KDB Financial Group‚ which controls Korea Development Bank.
The Financial Services Commission recommended the top economic aide to President Lee Myung-bak on Thursday to chair the state-run bank.
The 65-year-old led the finance ministry from 2008 to 2009 after serving in the public sector for nearly 40 years.
If appointed‚ Kang would replace Min Euoo-sung‚ who has led KDB since 2008.
