South Korea and Japan's top nuclear envoys are set to meet on this Tuesday afternoon for talks that are expected to focus on ways to deal with North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
Seoul's Foreign Ministry says its chief negotiator Wi Sung-lac and his Japanese counterpart Shinske Sugiyama will reaffirm their joint stance that Pyeongyang's uranium enrichment program should be dealt with at the UN Security Council.
Stressing that the international community must take stern measures against the North for the program‚ the envoys will also agree that inter-Korean relations must first improve with the regime's change of attitude before the stalled six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear programs can resume.
