The International Olympic Committee's evaluation team is now in Munich as the German city vies to host the 2018 Winter Games.
But some residents there don't seem very excited about the prospect of hosting the event.
In fact‚ opponents explain why they are against staging the games at the mountain resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on their website no-lympia-dot-d-e.
They warn against possible environmental damage saying that snowmaking generates too much carbon dioxide and building facilities and roads will destroy forests.
They also cite the economic strain that the event will pose on Munich's already growing debt.
Munich is up against Korea's Pyeongchang and Annecy‚ France for the right to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.
