This is the personal office of Kim Gu‚ Korea's most respected independence activist who contributed to the country's liberation from Japanese imperialism.
This old building‚ now located in Jongno District‚ Seoul‚ was also the last place where the Provisional Government of Korea met‚ but after Kim's death‚ it was abandoned and fell into disrepair.

Seoul Metropolitan Government ] "This place is better known as the place where Kim Gu was assassinated but it has more historical significance. Inter-Korean talks were held here‚ as well as the cabinet meetings of the Korean Provisional Government."
This office‚ also called "Gyeonggyojang" in Korean‚ has been used as a private hospital since 1967 but after a recent survey found that some of the building retains parts of its original structure the hospital owner donated it to the Seoul City Government in the hope that the site could be restored to its previous glory.
The restoration process will be carried on historical documentation and will include the refurnishing of the outer walls‚ balcony and stairways.
The Seoul City Government say the office should be open to the public by Korea's Independence Day. August 15th 2012.
