A special charter flight carrying 234 Koreans from Libya is scheduled to arrive at Incheon International Airport on Saturday night at around 8:30 pm.
According to the foreign ministry‚ the Korean Airlines plane arrived in Tripoli early Saturday and is on its way back to Seoul.
The Korean government has also chartered an Egyptian Airlines plane set to depart for Libya on Saturday to evacuate Koreans stranded in the city of Surt.
Some 60 Korean nationals in the North African country have also fled by car‚ crossing into Egypt and Tunisia.
