The International Olympic Committee has now completed its inspection of Pyeongchang and said they are impressed to see improvements made from the previous two bids.
At a press conference Commission Chair Gunilla Lindberg concluded the evaluation saying that they've seen great progress in delivering Olympic facilities‚ winter sports as well as strong government support.
As for issues related to North Korea the evaluators said that tensions have existed now for 60 years but during that time South Korea has successfully hosted international sportings events like the Summer Olympics and the FIFA World Cup.
The host of the 2018 Winter Games will be announced on July 6th in Durban‚ South Africa.
