At the nation's top office
President Lee Myung-bak met with Indonesia's presidential envoy and his 50-member delegation at the presidential office‚ Cheong Wa Dae‚ Wednesday morning to exchange views on boosting economic cooperation between the two countries.
The visit by Hatta Rajasa Indonesia's coordinating minister for economic affairs follows an economic cooperation development agreement reached between President Lee and his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during a summit in Bali late last year.
Lee emphasized to the delegation the need for the expansion of investment by Korean firms‚ sharing of development experience‚ participation in construction projects and the establishment of a free trade agreement.
