For the whole of 2010‚ Korea's exports of refined oil products surged more than 30 percent compared to the year before.
According to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy‚ the country's exports of oil products‚ including diesel‚ aircraft fuel and bunker C oil jumped 32.8 percent year-on-year‚ for a grand total of 33.8 billion US dollars.
The exports made up for almost 38 percent of the nation's imports of crude and other oil products last year.
Meanwhile‚ the country imported roughly 69 billion dollars worth of crude oil for a jump of 35 percent compared to a year earlier. while imports of refined petroleum products surged nearly 41 percent due to a spike in domestic consumption.
