At a very unique photography exhibition‚ the walls were lined with blurry pictures with large margins.

] "This is a photo exhibition featuring works by the visually impaired. It is the fourth of its kind."
The photographers even had someone to help them overcome the prejudice of the world.

Sangmyung University
] "There was an arts contest at the Dong-A Art Festival. I had always wondered what kind of work I could do with the visually impaired‚ so I entered the contest. I won‚ and I was able to start this project in 2007. 2010 is our fourth year."
Though at first many visitors were simply there out of curiosity about pictures taken by the visually impaired‚ the exhibition now enjoys the attention of true fans.
These fans say they find another world within the pictures.

] "There's more to the world than what we see with our eyes. What we don't see may actually be more real and more important. The visually impaired have taken pictures of what we can't see‚ and that is what makes this exhibition so meaningful and touching."

] "The constituent aspects of the photos‚ taken from everyday scenery‚ seem so coincidental and unique. It was interesting because it felt like I was seeing the world in a new dimension."
Visually impaired photographer Kim Gyeong-sik spends his days in Incheon‚ at a training school for the visually impaired.

] "Massage therapy for the visually impaired is a unique career that is only available to the visually impaired. I work to teach visually impaired people about massage."
Gyeong-sik is highly accomplished‚ having published a collection of poems and working as a massage teacher. However‚ people believed that it would be impossible for him to become a photographer.

] "Since I am blind‚ I couldn't understand how the pictures were focused and taken."
[Interview : Lee Hye-suk‚ Visually impaired person
] "I couldn't understand how they could use a camera and take pictures when they couldn't see."
He now handles his photography equipment with dexterous hands‚ but in the beginning‚ photography for him was a great challenge.

] "In May 2009‚ Sangmyung University was promoting a photography class for the blind. I was puzzled at first‚ but I figured that it must be worth going to‚ since it was being sponsored by a good university. That's when I began taking pictures."
He is moving forward in the world through his camera.
The camera became his eyes in the world.

] "I had never even touched a camera before‚ thinking that it was something that had nothing to do with me. When I first held a camera to take pictures‚ it was very exciting. I got goose bumps."
Gyeong-sik finds it hard to put his camera down.
It stays in his hands wherever he goes.

] "Visually impaired photographers like myself are here to take pictures."
How do they capture in pictures things that they cannot see[Interview : Kim Su-ji‚ Mentor for the visually impaired
] "I am explaining the scenery in details‚ so that the photographers can feel the surrounding landscapes and take pictures of them."
They first hear a description of the scene before them from a mentor‚ then touch the objects with their hands before clicking the shutter.
