Brothers Yang-soo and Jung-wook are just in their early teens.
But the way they glide over the sea water they look just like professional wakeboarders.
A mere two years after they took up the sport of wakeboarding the brothers finished second place at the National Sports Festival.

Wakeboarder] "This is much better than snowboarding. Even if you fall‚ you don't get hurt‚ because you're on water."
Currently there are some 250 officially registered waterskiers and wakeboarders in Korea but the number is rapidly growing every year.
In fact over 200-thousand people in Korea are registered through various unofficial waterskiers' clubs across the country.
With the boom in the number of waterskiers the size of the waterskiing sites on Bukhan River and Namhan River have doubled over the past two years.
And waterskiing considered a male-dominated sport in the past is increasingly changing into a mixed-gender sport.
Out of 10 people receiving waterski lessons four are women.

Waterskier] "I get scared easily and I'm petite in size. But after I started waterskiing I think I became more patient and that I also got stronger."
The fact that waterskiing is a fairly easy sport to pick up seems to be attracting more people.
Beginners can enjoy the sport after receiving only 10 minutes of basic instruction.
And with growing public interest in this form of summer recreation Chuncheon in Gangwon province will host the 2009 International Water Ski Federation Wakeboard World Championship in August.
