White flowers candles burning banners of support for the former President Roh Moo-hyun are some of the things that can be seen by the thousands of people gathered at Bongha Village.
Since the body of Roh was transported to the town hall here countless numbers of people have entered the village making a long line before they bow in front of the picture of a smiling Roh.
The sound of weeping could be heard here and there throughout the night and day.
Some camped out here all night reeling from the shock they felt upon hearing the news of Roh's death.
[Interview : Kwon Chang-hyun‚ Roh supporter from Jinju] "I wasn't able to sleep last night. I respected the former president even though he is not related to me. And I thought my vote for him was a right decision‚ but to think it eventually drove him to death‚ I feel dreadful. I really wish him peace now."
A group of monks from Haein Temple also made a visit and more monks are scheduled to come.
They say they will chant until the sun goes down.
[Interview : Monk from Haein Temple] "I believe there is a message Roh tried to send through his death. My personal wish is that Koreans will learn something from his death and that Korea will improve to be a better country."
There were some clashes between reporters and Roh's supporters as well as government officials who made a visit.
Villagers blamed the incumbent government for Roh's death and stopped some officials‚ including Prime Minister Han Seung-soo‚ from entering the village.
Some reporters were kicked out of the site as residents here say the media distorted its coverage of the government's bribery investigation of Roh and his family.
And amid all this standing in stark contrast to the crowds below is Owl cliff rising 30 meters high right behind Roh's home eerily quietly looking the same as before the former president jumped from the escarpment to his death.
"Since the news of Roh's death came out‚ the stream of mouners entering the town hasn't stop flowing. Some stayed over night here‚ beside the town hall‚ where Roh's body is resting.
Kim Na-ri‚ Arirang News‚ Bongha."
