This woman in her 30s recently underwent surgery for breast cancer. She didn't have any particular health problems before nor was she overweight.

Recently there has been a marked rise in breast cancer in Korea especially among women in their 30s and 40s.
From more than 5‚000 cases in 1999‚ to some 8‚000 in 2002 the number of breast cancer cases edged up to almost 10‚000 in 2005. That's an average jump of nearly 7 percent from year to year. Obesity has been cited as one of the major risk factors for breast cancer.
But a survey conducted by Seoul National University and the National Cancer Center shows it may have more to do with the type of fat built up in the body than the actual weight.
According to the survey the risk of breast cancer dropped by almost half among those who had higher-than-average levels of HDL. HDL stands for high-density lipoprotein a.k.a. the "good cholesterol." On the other hand those who had higher-than-average levels of triglycerides‚ or TG‚ a different type of fat saw their risk of grow by 35 percent.
[Interview : Yoo Keunyoung Preventive Medicine Dept.‚ Seoul National Univ. ] "Until now‚ obesity was largely linked to breast cancer. But we've been able to confirm that a bad diet or the intake of the wrong kind of fat plays a more direct role."
The survey was conducted from 2004 to 2005 on more than 2‚000 people including nearly 700 breast cancer patients. So what's the advice for women
