And amid the wait-and-see approach‚ inter-Korean economic talks on South Korea's resumption of rice aid to North Korea are poised to kick off as scheduled tomorrow that is Wednesday in Pyeongyang.
Now given the communist regime's failure to respond to the February nuclear accord‚ the prospects of the latest cross-border dialogue remain obscure.
Meanwhile over in Washington‚ the US State Department says it will monitor North Korea's nuclear standoff for a few more days.
Washington has also reiterated its intention to ensure that North Korea uses its previously frozen 25 million US dollars‚ solely for humanitarian purposes.
