Seoul's vice finance and economy minister says it's better to have separate talks on the inclusion of products made at the Gaeseong inter-Korean industrial complex outside the free-trade negotiations with the United States.
In an interview on Korean radio Vice Minister Jin Dong-su said no detailed discussion took place on the Gaeseong issue at the second round of FTA talks earlier this month.
Seoul wants to include products made at the factory complex in North Korea's border city of Gaesong on the list of goods falling under the free-trade umbrella.
But U.S. officials have shown no signs of letting that happen insisting that the FTA only cover products made south of the heavily armed border.
