But for Han Gi-duk and Chung Hae-jin‚ it turned into a nightmare.

At that moment‚ I realized there had been an accident."
The newlyweds both 29-year-old school teachers say they were asleep when the ship crashed.
It was another 30-plus hours in the dark before being rescued.
[Reporter : Chung Hae-jin‚ Wreckage survivor] "We were found in the hallway. We kept screaming for help‚ and kept blowing on the whistles on our life jackets for the rescue crews to find us."
Han and Chung were among the 34 Koreans on board the cruise liner-- all are currently recovering at hospitals in Italy.
Cruise International the Seoul-based travel agency that booked rooms for many of the Korean passengers on the cruise say its clients are being well-cared for.

Cruise International] "We sent a representative from London to Italy to help our clients with any needs that they might have.. including translation needs. "
In the meantime‚ here in Korea‚ family members of the passengers wait patiently for the safe return of their loved ones. For Arirang News. Lee Connie.
The search efforts have been suspended for now as the investigation into this crash continues.
The captain of the cruise ship has since been arrested and charged with manslaughter and abandoning the 42-hundred passenger ship. He is accused of taking the cruise liner too close to the shore.
