Calls for military intervention are growing‚ as violence between Gadhafi-loyal forces and Libyan rebels continues.
The White House has said that United States President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron had a phone conversation Tuesday‚ during which they shared their common objective of putting an immediate end to Muammar Gadhafi's attacks on his opponents.
The two leaders agreed to press forward with plans including humanitarian assistance‚ the enforcement of the arms embargo on Libya and a no-fly zone.

Interim National Council in Libya ] "We appealed to the United Nations to impose a no-fly zone in Libya to protect our families and to prevent any aircraft attacks like the ones you heard about now."
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on the same day‚ the decision to impose a no-fly zone should not be an initiative led by the US‚ but the United Nations.
Britain and France are working to draft a UN resolution authorizing a no-fly zone to prevent Gadhafi from moving his troops by air.
However US officials expressed concerns about the effectiveness of such a move‚ while Cameron told BBC a plan is needed in case Gadhafi refuses to step down and goes on brutalising his own people.
