[Reporter : ] The AVEX International Airshow being held over in Egypt is an important event for those in the region's aviation industry.
The latest technologies that can help provide passengers with improved flight services were displayed in this year's event.
The international airshow and exhibition was held at the Sharm El Sheikh International Airport for the 4th time‚ bringing together 85 exhibitors and aviation companies from around the world.
The latest in small and mid-sized aircrafts as well as upgrades in pre-existing aircrafts of the region were on display.
Improved airline seats and in-flight services such as internet and mobile phone usage capabilities impressed visitors‚ whereas the super-carrier Airbus A380 was seen as oversized and unsuitable for domestic applications.
With global crude oil reserves projected to last only another 40 years‚ finding alternative energy sources is a race against time.
Over in China‚ one company is focused on turning its cheap coal resources into liquid fuel.
Shenhua produces around 3 thousand tons of diesel daily using its coal reserves.
Around 3.five tons of coal can produce one ton of diesel‚ and although the process is costly‚ one ton of diesel is worth 20 times more than the same amount of coal.
There is a price to be paid in the long run‚ as coal liquefaction produces double the amount of CO2 to traditional coal industries‚ and China is already the world's top polluter.
Over in Berlin‚ Germany‚ construction workers accidentally stumbled upon a great artistic and archeological discovery.
While digging for a new underground line outside the city's Red City Hall‚ sculptures and artifacts that were once labeled by the Nazis as "Degenerate Art" were found.
These works of art include pieces from works confiscated and banned from collections and museums by the Nazis.
These art pieces came to be known to the art world when a Nazi propaganda film belittling the works of Jewish artists was discovered.
The recently discovered collection is believed to have been kept safe by a man who hid and saved Jewish citizens from Nazis.
