The 32 students and faculty killed last month in the Virginia Tech massacre have been honored at the university's commencement.
The victims were remembered Friday through emotional speeches and a screen presentation of their faces.
Class rings were given to the families of the slain students‚ and diplomas will be given in smaller ceremonies Saturday.
Virginia Tech President Charles Steger says the emotional wounds might never heal‚ but that graduates should move forward and celebrate life.
The massacre was committed by Korean-American Seunghui Cho‚ a mentally disturbed student at the university.
