Just an hour's drive from Seoul‚ sits Jincheon National Training Center‚ nestled in the hills.
The 160-million-dollar camp‚ occupying some 850-thousand square meters‚ received its first guests on Wednesday.
Out of the nearly 14-hundred athletes representing Korea‚ only about a third were able to train in Taeneung.
But when Jincheon completes its second phase by 2017‚ 11-hundred athletes will be able to train there together.

National Training Center] "With the registration of our first athletes‚ Jincheon has officially launched its support for Korea's victory in the London Olympics next year."
Rowing crews and track and field athletes were the first to sign up to try out the latest equipment.
[Interview : Kim Kyung-ae‚ Javelin thrower] "All the equipment is brand-new‚ and the training rooms are spacious.
My goal for next year The center houses a massive swimming pool‚ tennis courts‚ baseball field‚ shooting ranges‚ and more.
And all are installed with the latest technology to assist the athletes train in an optimal environment.

In addition‚ track and field athletes can now train independently‚ as the field is separated from the track."

] "It is especially favorable for short-distance sprinters as we have a 10-lane‚ 100-meter track."
The rules and regulations that applied to all the athletes in Taeneung are the same in Jincheon‚ but there's an extra-added bonus for prospective Olympians at the new facility.

We don't have to share it with anyone anymore‚ so we are guaranteed more privacy."
Before an intensive afternoon training session‚ runners return to the dorm for a lavish lunch that totals nearly 2‚000 calories.
[Interview : Jung Sang-Jin‚ Javelin thrower] "The meal was great. The nutritionists here work very hard to provide us with the best."
The national swimming squad and shooting team will be the next to check-in in the coming months.
