Noh Eun-shil added the first taekwondo gold medal of the day for Korea's third in the Asian Games.
In the 62 kilogram women's taekwondo division‚ Noh won a lopsided victory against Lahaere Asemani with a score of 14-2.
Noh's gold medal was the third for Korea from the taekwondo competitions.
And the youngest of the Korea national taekwondo squad‚ Lee Dae-hoon took out Nacha Poontong of Thailand for Korea's fourth gold of the Asian Games.
Lee came back from down three points in the first round but went on to win the gold with a score of 10-9‚ by one single point.
The Guangzhou government claims the best air quality in years but the public disagree.
The host city of the 16th Asian Games has taken actions such as traffic restrictions and factory closures in an effort to turn the often smoggy Chinese industrial powerhouse into a pollution free venue.
Under the new rules‚ cars are banned on alternate days depending on their license plate number with only taxis and Asian Games vehicles being exempt.
The government says air quality in Guangzhou ranged between excellent and fairly good but independent figures and residents say the air pollution has eased but not as much as the government promised.
Soccer's world governing body FIFA‚ has banned two members of its executive committee from taking part in the votes to decide the host countries of the 2018 and 2022 World Cup competitions following an investigation into allegations of corruption.
Amos Adamu was banned from all-soccer related activities for three years and fined about $10‚137 USD for breaches of five articles of FIFA's ethics code including one on bribery.
Reynald Temarii‚ president of the Oceania Football Confederation‚ was banned for one year and fined approximately $5000 USD for breaching articles on general conduct and loyalty.
Their bans mean the 2018 and 2022 decisions will be made by a committee of 22 members rather than 24.
Liverpool head coach Roy Hodgson rained praise on the Korean soccer stars Seol Ki-hyun‚ Park Ji-sung and Lee Chung-yong.
In a press conference‚ Hodgson was asked if he had any interest in adding Asian players to the lineup and he answered that he is very much so interested but they would have to be skilled and strong-minded and pointed out Seol‚ Park and Lee as exellent examples.
Hodgson is the 18th head coach for Liverpool and has been the coach for Inter Milan and the Swiss National team and has led Fulham to the finals of the Europa League Cup.
