South Korea is set to play its second Group B match against two-time World Cup champions Argentina on Thursday at Soccer City Stadium in South Africa.
South Korea's manager Huh Jung-moo will be leading his team up against his Argentinean counterpart and football icon‚ Diego Maradona.
But it's not the first time for these two to go head-to-head as Huh and Maradona squared-off as midfielders back in 1986 at the World Cup in Mexico.
Twenty-four years ago‚ the match between South Korea and Argentina ended in a 3-1 victory for the South Americans.
Both coaches still remember the fierce battle‚ when Huh took on Maradona with an aggressive above the knee tackle.
When asked about it in South Africa‚ Maradona criticized the tackle and described the South Koreans style back then as "taekwondo football."
Huh Jung-moo‚ who played professionally for PSV Eindhoven in Holland‚ was known by the nickname 'Jindogae‚' an indigenous hunting dog from his hometown of Jindo Island‚ due to his relentless and energetic playing style.
On the other side of the pitch‚ Diego Maradona is widely regarded as one of the best football players of all time and is often put alongside Brazil's Pele as the best ever.
During his international career Maradona earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals for Argentina‚ playing in four World Cups until he retired at the age of 37.
But putting personal rivalries aside‚ Huh is determined to register one of the biggest surprises in World Cup history by leading his squad past Argentina in Johannesburg on Thursday.

South Korea] "Of course it will be a tough match for us. But if we remain calm and attack the opponent's weaknesses‚ an unexpected outcome could take the world by surprise."
Whether the 'Taeguk Warriors' win or lose the match against Argentina should certainly be a classic as two old foes are set to renew their rivalry. but this time from the sidelines.
