Hope your last Friday of the year is coming along well. I'm Kim Bo-gyung with the latest forecast.
We begin with weather advisories. A cold wave watch has been issued in both Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Province. Dry weather advisories are in effect on parts of the east coast. The humidity level in Gyeongsangnam-do Province is down to 27 percent. Make sure to stay hydrated.
Currently‚ we are under clear skies due to a high pressure front from China.
And beware a cold snap is forecast on Saturday morning‚ but things will ease up by lunch time as warm air moves in from the west.
Also‚ there's a chance of showers or flurries for the central regions on Sunday.
For the most part‚ moderate winter weather will stick around over the weekend.
Looking ahead a lot going on next week. Showers are expected on Monday and snow on Wednesday‚ while another cold snap will set in on New Year's Day‚ pushing down morning lows to minus-9.
On to Saturday's readings. Seoul starts off the day at minus-5‚ before reaching 5 in the afternoon. Daegu 8. Gwangju hits 7. Bright sunny skies are forecast for Busan.
Moving on to other regions. Daejeon peaks at 5. Jeju 10. Dokdo makes it to 7. Mt. Kumgang minus-2.
