But‚ let us begin this Monday afternoon with wet weather conditions across the country
With the monsoon front moving north‚ heavy rain that's been pounding the nation has let up and heavy rain advisories that were issued in Korea's central region have now been lifted.
But‚ forecasters are saying there is more wet weather ahead of us.
For more details‚ let's go over to our Hanna Kim standing by at Arirang's Weather Center.

Conn-young‚ earlier this morning we had about 30 millimeters of rainfall per hour. To give you an idea of how bad it was‚ we had about 338 millimeters in Yuh-ju and about 270 millimeters in Gwangju -- both cities in Gyeonggi Province.
So we had a lot of rain in the central provinces and I hear we still have some rain in the nation's eastern Gangwon Province What about Seoul?
We had about 142 millimeters in the Gangnam District of Seoul which is a lot of precipitation in a span of just a few hours.
Right‚ but the weather looks much better now and we even have some sunshine.
What can we expect for the rest of the day?
Well Conn-young‚ the monsoon isn't over yet. The monsoon front will move south again tomorrow‚ bringing more rain‚ and we do expect about another 40 to 80 millimeters of rainfall Now it may be wet up here in Seoul‚ but we will have a dry monsoon in the south.
For more details‚ let's move over to our satellite map The monsoon front is hovering over the bottom of North Korea‚ so it is moving back and forth in this region. But it's not affecting the south right now Instead‚ we have a high pressure system dominating the weather in the south‚ giving us scorching hot temperatures over the 30s and humid‚ humid conditions.
If we take a closer look at the forecast Seoul will reach [28] in the afternoon. Meanwhile‚ cities in the south like Daegu and Busan will peak to [33] and [31] degrees respectively.
Down on Jeju Island‚ weather conditions will be slightly different under mostly sunny skies. Daejeon will hit [33]‚ while Gangwon Province continues to have scattered showers in the afternoon.
