North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been given a new title as chairman of the committee of state affairs after a major parliamentary meeting on Wednesday‚ a move that will give him complete control over government organizations and the party. Most North Korea watchers say Kim's new position will cement his control in the long term and will closely monitor how the newly established state organ will affect the regime's political landscape.
