The world's leading plasma display maker Samsung SDI launched construction of a plant that will boast the largest production capacity in the industry.
The company's fourth plasma display panel production line costing around 775 million U.S. dollars will be established on a lot spreading over 10 hectares in the southeast port city of Ulsan.
The plant will have an annual capacity of 3 million panels the world's highest pushing up the display maker's total capacity to 7.3 million panels.
The company's fourth assembly line will focus on 50-inch panels and full operations are to begin a year from now.
