Official campaigning is in full swing for the April 24th by-elections with less than 10 days remaining until polls open.
The ruling Saenuri Party says it will become a working party for local residents‚ while the opposition Democratic United Party has promised to act as the counter-balance to the Park Geun-hye administration.
The elections will be held in 12 constituencies and three of them will elect a new lawmaker to the National Assembly with fierce competition expected in Seoul's Nowon District‚ where former independent presidential candidate Ahn Cheol-soo is running against a strong ruling party candidate.
