The Occupy Wall Street movement caught the attention of the world last fall after a spontaneous encampment in lower Manhatten quickly spread throughout North America and Europe.
The movement supports a new spirit of U.S. social activism‚ and continues to draw attention to economic injustice.
Once the voice of the movement was heard all over the globe but as months passed‚ donations slowed‚ public support waned and media attention dropped‚ but activists hope the first anniversary can act as a catalyst to reinvigorate the movement.
