And the increased competition among female applicants was noteworthy in this year's process.
The competition ratio among females was the highest for the Navy at 50-to-1‚ meaning for every slot available‚ 50 females applied.
The ratio for the Air Force was slightly under 50-to-1‚ while for the Army it was 37-to-1.
The student admitted to the naval academy with the highest score was female.
And a total of more than six hundred military cadets were admitted to the three branches of the military academies.
Meanwhile‚ Korea's Armed Forces Nursing Academy admitted its first-ever MALE student this year.
