The New York Times claims soccer's world governing body FIFA could be looking to shakeup its leadership following a series of high profile corruption scandals.
In an editorial published Thursday‚ columnist Rob Hughes said that FIFA may seek a new leader‚ to replace Sepp Blatter‚ the current FIFA president.
Hughes said Michel Platini‚ who heads UEFA‚ European soccer's governing body‚ as the most likely candidate‚ but added that Chung Mong-joon‚ a Korean representative who was ejected from his post as a vice-president of FIFA’s executive committee this year‚ may re-emerge in the shake-up.
