At least 88 people have been killed or are missing after two days of torrential rain in central China.
In the worst-hit province‚ Hubei‚ 25 people were killed‚ 12 have gone missing‚ and 110-thousand have been displaced.
In seven cities in the province‚ 1-hundred millimeters of precipitation was recorded over two days.
According to Chinese officials‚ most of the deaths and injuries were caused by collapsed buildings.
In Tongcheng County‚ a record 3-hundred millimeters of rain fell in just four hours on Thursday inundating the entire county and displacing some 60-thousand residents by late Friday.
More damage from the floods is expected as the heavy rain is forecast to continue throughout next week.
