Mutassim‚ the fourth son‚ has been mired in scandal over allegedly throwing extravagant parties with American pop stars and even paying 1-million US dollars for a four-song performance.
And the youngest‚ Khamis‚ is known to have received military training in Russia and leads his own militia force that serves as the wall protecting the Gadhafi regime.
The only daughter of the Colonel‚ Ayesha‚ is a lawyer and a member of the late-Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's defense team.
Moammar Gadhafi‚ once the enemy of the West who became "an important ally" in the war on terror only seven years ago now faces an uncertain future along with the fortunes of his eight children.
