Among the crops that were sowed last winter‚ watermelon and cabbage seedlings are now ready to be sold in markets across the country.
[Interview : Yoo Ho‚ Factory owner] "After we sow seeds and see them sprout‚ we really feel that spring is really coming or has already come to these seedlings."
In the corner of this factory‚ workers are grafting shoots onto a rootstock that can better resist disease and better absorb water and nutrients.
[Interview : Shin Song-sook‚ Factory director] "We are grafting watermelon shoots onto gourd stocks that have stronger roots."
The greenery that fills this factory shows us that spring is almost here.
