The United Nations' special rapporteur on North Korean human rights‚ Marzuki Darusman‚ has reportedly urged members of the six-party talks to restart their dialogue on Pyeongyang's nuclear program for the sake of humanitarian assistance for the North Korean people and regional peace.

He also expressed concern over the lack of freedoms in the North such as expression‚ assembly and association and other human rights abuses such as public executions.
