Established in 2002‚ Gogane Food is a small company that manufactures traditional kimchi while also developing new types of kimchi in an effort to globalize this Korean food.

Because its end product is food‚ the company insists on strict hygiene management. Only after they have passed the complex disinfection process can the employees enter the kimchi manufacturing room.

HACCP: A scientific hygiene management system that identifies and deals with potential food safety hazards that may arise during each stage of the manufacturing process.
Thanks to their ceaseless efforts‚ the company received the "Korean Traditional Food Certification" as well as the HACCP certification in 2009.
To maximize the freshness of its products‚ the company receives the napa cabbage heads only twice a week in quantities that are just enough to meet their production goal.

Gogane Food Co.‚ Ltd. ] "These are napa cabbage heads that have been grown in Gangwon Province. Because we use all the napa cabbage heads that are brought to us in one day‚ it's important to examine them all thoroughly."
To make whole cabbage kimchi‚ one of Gogane Food's main products‚ the cabbage heads are at first cleaned‚ split into half by a machine‚ and then pickled with salt.
Once the heads have been salted to the right degree‚ which takes about a quarter of a day‚ they are then washed.
Hygiene management is indeed everywhere!
The cabbage heads are put through two separate washing treatments to remove any leftover impurities‚ before they are further washed individually by hand.
After the other ingredients are mixed in‚ the Gogane Food kimchi is completed!
