Two hunting grounds are now open in Gangwon Province.
Here at Inje hunting ground‚ a professional wild boar hunter caught his 180-kilogram prey with his three dogs.
[Interview : Kim Jong-gyum‚ Wild boar hunter] "I've been running after the boar for over an hour‚ but considering all the damage it caused in the farm‚ it's worth the chase."
There are around 1‚200 licensed hunters in Gangwon Province.
During the open season‚ a hunter can catch up to six wild boars and a maximum of three elks and three squirrels.
But when it comes to birds they can also shoot down up to five birds such as pheasants and ducks per day.
But there are some safety concerns.

Korea Wild Animal & Plant Service Association] "Do not shoot towards residential areas and watch out for accidental shootings between hunters."
Authorities plan to enforce safety measures and crack down on illegal hunting until the season closes in March next year.
