The South Korean navy ship Jinhae fired artillery and dropped bombs in military exercises off the west coast of the divided peninsula Thursday.
"Baekdoosan‚ this is Hallasan‚ despite our warning you have crossed the border and created tension in this area. If you do not go back to the North‚ we will fire warning shots and you will be responsible for any consequences."
Playing out the hypothetical situation… the corvette Jinhae makes the first warning and fires warning shots at the North Korean patrol ship that crossed the border of the Northern Limit Line.
"Despite the warning shots‚ the enemy continues to cross the Northern Limit Line. I'm making the order to shoot the target."
When the intruder still does not back off the captain of the Jinhae orders direct shots.
The two guns on the Jinhae fiercely fire at the hypothetical intruder.

This is the second day of the South Korean navy's military exercise near the disputed border in the West Sea.
In another hypothetical situation the South Korean navy detected something underwater through sonar and decided that it was an enemy submarine.
The captain then orders the crew to launch anti-submarine bombs.
With a loud explosion a water pillar rises 20 to 30 meters high when the bombs are dropped.

The Jinhae] "We will protect the sea with our strong forces and by paying careful attention in order to hit the target with the first shot. If any enemy breaks the rules and crosses the border we will punish them and protect our nation."
About 670 sailors and eight naval ships including a 3‚200 ton destroyer and the 1‚200 ton corvette Jinhae which is identical to the Cheonan that sank in the West Sea from a torpedo attack in March participated the military exercise.
The exercise began Wednesday and will run until Friday.
